DIGITAL MATERIALS
These thematic digital materials are designed to help you create your own cultural or educational programmes.
These themed digital kits contain text, images, videos and informative material to create your own cultural or educational programmes, without any transport or logistical constraints. The first of these digital kits is now available, based on the theme of Olympic mascots.
The Olympic mascot kit includes everything you need to know about them. The mascots play a simple yet crucial role: they act as hosts and are responsible for welcoming the athletes and fans alike. They embody the universal Olympic values and, most importantly, provide a touch of local culture. The very first mascot was launched as an experiment at Grenoble 1968, and the first official mascot in Olympic history was born in Munich 1972: Waldi, a dachshund. For every edition of the Olympic Games since, ordinary citizens and graphic design agencies have competed against each other to find the perfect new mascot. This choice is often based on iconic animals, but the mascots can also be people or mythical and fairytale creatures. The aim is always to bring a special touch of humour and joy to the Olympic experience.
